SCS Sketch #SC1134

I have been part of the Sketch team on Splitcoaststampers for a few years now. Whether it's my week to create the sketch (the first Wednesday of each month) or I'm creating a sample card based on the sketch someone else created, I find that having a sketch to use can get my creative ideas flowing.

There is a new sketch to work with every Wednesday. I encourage you to check them out.

Kim created this week's sketch - #SC1134:

3M Cupcake Party

Last Saturday I mentioned that I wanted to make two of the many cards I've missed in the past few weeks due to health issues. This is the second of those two cards. It is my Three Musketeers  card for September.

Kelly, Barb, and I have been creating together as the Three Musketeers every month since November 2014. We all three create a card using the same image. I always enjoy seeing how different our cards are, even though we use the same image. This is one of my favorite posts of the month.

We take turns choosing what stamp will be used. This month it was Barb's turn. She chose the CC Designs Cupcake Party set.

Thank you, Barb!

Be sure to check out Barb's and Kelly's cards, too...

I guess technically this is also my Catch Up card for September.

CYS Some Coffee Love

One of my favorite challenge groups is the Challenge Your Stash group on SCS, under the capable and organized leadership of my friend Barb. The idea is we can't shop for anything when making our monthly challenge card (which we post on the 28th of each month - I'm a day early, as I have another commitment on my blog tomorrow).

We take turns choosing the theme. This month it was Tracie's turn. She challenged us to make Coffee cards in celebration of National Coffee Day which occurs on September 29th.

I hope Tracie, Barb and the other Challenge Your Stash gals like my card.

Using this ONE Stamp for Kicks in 2026 - September

I've been dealing with some annoying health issues this month that have made it challenging for me to make cards. It is what it is and most of those cards will just remain unmade.

That being said I want to make two of this one. This blog post is the first of the two. It is my One Plus Twelve which usually posts on the 3rd of the month. One Plus Twelve is the founder of this series. She invited Barb and I to join her in 2019 and we're still going strong.

The idea is to use the same ONE stamp (not a set) each month to create a card. Sentiments can be used, too, if we choose.

My ONE stamp this year is a beautiful floral from the Pinkfresh Studio Amazing Things stamp set. Ironically, Barb and I happened to choose the exact same stamp this year. Can you believe it?

This month I colored the image very minimally in a neutral shade.

You can see Barb's and Kelly's cards on Instagram as well as their blogs...

Creative Crew 2026 - September

It's posting day for the Creative Crew. What exactly is the Creative Crew? We are a group of 6 card-making friends from various US locations who have a fun monthly creative adventure with a secretive twist.

Most months one of us serves as hostess, choosing a theme and sending out image/papers to work with. However, the first and last month of each round is a bit different. Barb and I put our heads together and choose a theme for the first month of each round. The last month of each round Barb randomly chooses a color scheme and I create a sketch for us to use.

This is the first month of this round. Barb and I chose this theme...

Career Day

Here's my card:

My cousin is a nurse and will be retiring in a few months. I first thought I'd make this a retirement card for her. On second thought I decided it was more theme appropriate to make it a Get Well card.

Be sure to check out all of the Creative Crew cards:
